Brayford Waterfront

The Brayford Waterfront is a charming area in Lincoln that boasts a variety of restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. It’s an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the city. If it’s sunny outside, you should definitely try alfresco dining, as all the restaurants offer views of the waterfront.

During the summer season, you have the opportunity to see the city from a different angle by taking a guided boat tour on the Brayford Belle along the River Witham. The tour provides an entertaining commentary on the history and current state of Lincoln. Alternatively, you can take a stroll on the Fossdyke Canal Trail, which stretches around 6 miles from Lincoln to Saxilby.

Helpful Links When Moving To Lincoln

If you’re looking at moving to Lincoln with us, then you might want to get to know the local area a little better. The Premier Movers team have lived in this region for most of our lives, and we think these links could really help you to get to know the region and its many delights.

Mrs Smith’s Cottage
Mrs Smith’s Cottage is a historic part of Lincolnshire that was once owned by Hilda Craven, later, Mrs Smith. The house dates back to the 1830s and is in nearly identical condition to when it was left by Hilda all those years ago. It’s a must for families eager to get into the history of Lincolnshire without the usual museum visits.

High Bridge

The High Bridge of Lincoln, located in the heart of the High Street, was constructed in 1160 as a crossing over the River Witham. It is speculated that a bridge may have existed on this spot since the time of the Romans, though it would have been constructed from wood rather than stone originally. Currently, the house is home to Stokes Tea and Coffee, a trendy yet understated coffee shop that is ideal for visits of all ages.
